Withdrawal Policy

The International Journal of Cyber Threats and Protection has established a clear withdrawal policy to maintain the integrity of the publication process and ensure fair treatment for authors, reviewers, and readers. This policy governs the process by which authors can withdraw their submissions from consideration at various stages of the publication process.

1. Withdrawal Before Submission to Review
Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before it is sent out for peer review. In such cases, authors should notify the Editorial Board as soon as possible by submitting a formal request for withdrawal. Once the manuscript is withdrawn, it will not be considered further for publication, and the manuscript will not be processed.

2. Withdrawal After Submission to Review
If the manuscript has already been sent for peer review, authors may still request withdrawal. However, the decision will depend on the stage of the review process and the amount of work that has already been completed. The request for withdrawal must be submitted in writing to the Editorial Board, explaining the reasons for withdrawal. In cases where substantial work has already been carried out (such as reviewer comments or revisions), authors should be aware that the withdrawal request may not be granted without justifiable reasons.

3. Withdrawal After Acceptance
Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the withdrawal request will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Authors may request to withdraw the article, but the Editorial Board reserves the right to assess the request based on the manuscript's current status. If the article has already been scheduled for publication or is in production, the withdrawal will be subject to additional costs and considerations, such as those related to production and marketing.

4. Withdrawal Due to Ethical Concerns
If a manuscript is found to have ethical concerns, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or any form of misconduct, the International Journal of Cyber Threats and Protection retains the right to request immediate withdrawal of the manuscript. In such cases, the withdrawal will be initiated by the Editorial Board, and authors will be required to provide clarifications or take corrective actions as necessary.

5. Withdrawal Due to Multiple Submissions
The International Journal of Cyber Threats and Protection adheres to the principle of originality in submissions. If an author submits the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently, the journal reserves the right to withdraw the manuscript if the author has not disclosed the simultaneous submission. Authors must ensure that their manuscript is not under review elsewhere before submitting it to the journal.

6. Consequences of Withdrawal
In the event of a manuscript withdrawal, the author may request confirmation of the withdrawal. The manuscript will be removed from the editorial process, and any fees paid (if applicable) will not be refunded, especially if the manuscript was already undergoing a peer review or production process.

7. Publication and Publicity
Once a manuscript is withdrawn, the article will not be published, and no details of the submission will be shared publicly. However, if the manuscript had already been publicly listed as accepted or in the press, it will be removed from the journal’s website and any associated databases.

The International Journal of Cyber Threats and Protection aims to maintain transparency and fairness in the publication process. Authors are encouraged to carefully consider their decision before withdrawing a manuscript and to communicate any requests promptly.
