Author Guidelines
 
1. Submission Requirements
 
1.1. Manuscript Preparation
Authors should prepare their manuscript in accordance with the guidelines outlined below. The manuscript should be written in English, clearly structured, and formatted for review. A manuscript must be submitted in Word or LaTeX format.
 
1.2. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should include the following sections:
 
 Title 
 
Abstract
 
Keywords
 
Introduction
 
Materials and Methods
 
Results and Discussion
 
Conclusions
 
Acknowledgments (if applicable)
 
References
 
Appendices (if applicable)
 
 
1.3. Manuscript Length
For original research articles, the manuscript length should not exceed 10,000 words (including references, tables, and figures). Review articles may exceed 12,000 words.
 
 
2. Formatting Guidelines
 
2.1. General Formatting
 
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
 
Line Spacing: 1.5
 
Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
 
Text Alignment: Justified
 
Page Numbers: Centered at the bottom of each page
 
 
2.2. Title and Author Information
 
The title should be concise but descriptive.
 
The author names should be provided with full first name, middle initial (if applicable), and last name.
 
Affiliations should be listed for each author, along with the corresponding email address.
 
 
3. Abstract and Keywords
 
3.1. Abstract
The abstract should provide a clear, concise summary of the paper, with no more than 250 words. It should include the main purpose of the study, methods, significant results, and conclusions. Avoid the use of citations in the abstract.
 
3.2. Keywords
Following the abstract, list 4 to 6 keywords that represent the main topics of your paper. These keywords should be separated by commas.
 
4. Figures and Tables
 
4.1. Figures
 
Figures should be placed within the manuscript where they are referenced (not at the end).
 
Ensure figures are of high quality (minimum 300 dpi for images) and legible.
 
All figures must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2).
 
Each figure should have a concise caption below it.
 
 
4.2. Tables
 
Tables should be placed in the manuscript near their first citation.
 
Each table should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2) and include a title above the table.
 
Tables should be formatted in a simple style, without vertical lines.
 
5. References
 
5.1. Citation Style
The references should be formatted according to the APA style (7th edition). All references must be cited in the text. In-text citations should follow the format: (Author, Year) or (Author et al., Year) if there are more than two authors. For example:

(Jones et al., 2019)
 
 
5.2. Reference List
The reference list must appear at the end of the manuscript, following the correct citation format. References should be listed alphabetically by the last name of the first author. Example format:
 
Journal Articles:
Author(s). (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages.
Example:
Smith, J., & Brown, P. (2020). Neural networks in decision-making systems. Artificial Intelligence Research, 30(2), 45-59.
 
Books:
Author(s). (Year). Title of the Book (Edition). Publisher.
Example:
Green, M. (2018). Computational Intelligence in Practice (3rd ed.). Springer.
 
Conference Papers:
Author(s). (Year). Title of the paper. In Proceedings of the Conference Name (pp. pages). Publisher.
Example:
Zhang, L., & Li, F. (2019). Optimizing algorithms for machine learning. In Proceedings of the 14th International AI Conference (pp. 77-82). IEEE.
 
6. Ethical Guidelines
 
6.1. Research Ethics
Authors are expected to conduct their research in an ethical manner and adhere to established standards of research integrity. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and sources of funding.
 
6.2. Plagiarism Check
All submissions will be checked for plagiarism using a reliable plagiarism detection tool. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content will be immediately rejected.
 
7. Peer Review Process
 
7.1. Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Computational Intelligence undergo a double-blind peer review process. The review process typically takes 3-4 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers.
 
7.2. Revision and Resubmission
Based on the reviewers' feedback, authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their manuscripts. Authors must address all comments from reviewers and provide a detailed response to each comment.
 
8. Submission Process
 
8.1. Online Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. During submission, authors will be required to provide information such as the manuscript title, abstract, keywords, and contact details for all authors.
 
8.2. Manuscript Acceptance
The final acceptance of a manuscript is based on the approval of both the editor and the reviewers. Upon acceptance, authors will receive a formal acceptance letter.
 
9. Copyright and Open Access
 
9.1. Copyright
By submitting the manuscript, authors confirm that the manuscript is their original work and has not been published elsewhere. Upon acceptance, the copyright will be transferred to the International Journal of Computational Intelligence.
 
9.2. Open Access
This journal follows an open-access policy, meaning all articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide. Authors can choose to publish their work under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
